Ingredients

  • beef flank steak - 300 grams
  • soy sauce - 60 ml
  • Worcestershire sauce - 30 ml
  • apple cider vinegar - 15 ml
  • garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • sea salt - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Slice the beef flank steak into thin strips, about 0.5 cm thick, against the grain.
  2. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and sea salt.
  3. Add the sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for the best flavor.
  4. Preheat your oven to 70°C (160°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet.
  5. Remove the beef from the marinade and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess liquid.
  6. Arrange the beef strips in a single layer on the baking sheet or wire rack, making sure they are not touching.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 4 to 6 hours, or until the jerky is dry and chewy but still slightly pliable.
  8. Let the jerky cool completely before storing it in an airtight container.
