Ingredients
- beef flank steak - 300 grams
- soy sauce - 60 ml
- Worcestershire sauce - 30 ml
- apple cider vinegar - 15 ml
- garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
- black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- sea salt - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- Slice the beef flank steak into thin strips, about 0.5 cm thick, against the grain.
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and sea salt.
- Add the sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for the best flavor.
- Preheat your oven to 70°C (160°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet.
- Remove the beef from the marinade and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess liquid.
- Arrange the beef strips in a single layer on the baking sheet or wire rack, making sure they are not touching.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 4 to 6 hours, or until the jerky is dry and chewy but still slightly pliable.
- Let the jerky cool completely before storing it in an airtight container.
