Ingredients
- Beef sirloin - 300 grams
- Bell pepper (mixed colors) - 1 medium
- Red onion - 1 small
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh cilantro - for garnish
Steps
- Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips against the grain and place in a bowl.
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil, lime juice, cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Pour the marinade over the beef strips, ensuring they are well coated. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- While the beef is marinating, slice the bell pepper and red onion into thin strips.
- Heat a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of olive oil.
- Once the oil is hot, add the marinated beef to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until browned and cooked through.
- Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add the sliced bell pepper and onion, cooking for 3-4 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet, mixing it with the vegetables for another minute to combine flavors.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh cilantro.
