Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 300g green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 200g diced tomatoes (canned)
  • 100g cream cheese, softened
  • 100g shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  4. Stir in the chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes, smoked paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the cabbage is slightly wilted, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the cream cheese until melted and well combined.
  6. Transfer the beef and cabbage mixture to a baking dish. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
