Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 300 grams, sliced into thin strips
  • Brussels sprouts - 200 grams, halved
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free) - 2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Sea salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
  • Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated (for topping)
  • Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, garlic, sea salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Toss to coat evenly.
  3. Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer and roast them in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown and tender, stirring halfway through.
  4. While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the sliced beef to the skillet, cooking for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through, stirring occasionally.
  6. Pour the soy sauce over the cooked beef and continue to cook for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  7. Once the Brussels sprouts are done roasting, remove them from the oven and combine them with the beef in the skillet. Toss everything together to ensure even distribution.
  8. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley for garnish.
