Ingredients
- Beef sirloin - 300 grams, sliced into thin strips
- Brussels sprouts - 200 grams, halved
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free) - 2 tablespoons
- Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Sea salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
- Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated (for topping)
- Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped (for garnish)
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, garlic, sea salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Toss to coat evenly.
- Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer and roast them in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown and tender, stirring halfway through.
- While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced beef to the skillet, cooking for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through, stirring occasionally.
- Pour the soy sauce over the cooked beef and continue to cook for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Once the Brussels sprouts are done roasting, remove them from the oven and combine them with the beef in the skillet. Toss everything together to ensure even distribution.
- Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley for garnish.
