  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Apple cider vinegar - 2 tablespoons
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • Keto-friendly barbecue sauce - 150 ml

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika to create a dry rub.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  4. Place the ribs in a large baking dish and drizzle with olive oil and apple cider vinegar.
  5. Add water to the bottom of the baking dish to create steam during cooking.
  6. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 hours until the ribs are tender.
  7. Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully uncover them (watch out for steam).
  8. Preheat your grill or broiler to high heat.
  9. Brush the ribs generously with the keto-friendly barbecue sauce on both sides.
  10. Grill or broil the ribs for an additional 10-15 minutes, basting with more sauce and turning occasionally until caramelized and slightly charred.
  11. Remove from heat, let rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
