- Zucchini - 2 medium-sized
- Ground beef - 200 grams
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Crushed tomatoes - 400 grams
- Italian seasoning - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Ricotta cheese - 100 grams
- Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
- Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated
- Fresh basil - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Using a spiralizer, make zoodles from the zucchini and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, and fresh basil.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the zoodles, followed by the meat sauce, and then the ricotta mixture. Repeat the layering.
- Top with the remaining mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
