Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 300 grams
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture. Wrap it in a clean towel and place a heavy object on top.
  2. While the tofu is pressing, mix honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a small bowl to create the marinade.
  3. Once pressed, cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes and toss them in cornstarch until evenly coated.
  4. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook for about 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy on all sides.
  5. Pour the honey garlic marinade over the tofu and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens and coats the tofu.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
