Ingredients

  • Chicken thighs - 4 pieces (about 600g)
  • Honey - 4 tablespoons (60ml)
  • Soy sauce (kosher) - 2 tablespoons (30ml)
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons (30ml)
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley, chopped - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, black pepper, and salt to create the marinade.
  3. Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and coat them well with the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for more flavor).
  4. In a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, add the marinated chicken thighs skin-side down and sear for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Flip the chicken thighs over and pour the remaining marinade over them. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
  6. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and has an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
  8. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot.
