- Honey - 30 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Almonds (sliced) - 50 grams
- Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the egg, honey, and vanilla extract until well blended.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the sliced almonds until evenly distributed.
- Shape the dough into a log about 25 cm long and 5 cm wide on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing the log into 1 cm thick slices.
- Arrange the slices cut-side down on the baking sheet and return to the oven for another 10-15 minutes, until crisp.
- Let the biscotti cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
