Ingredients

  • Halal ground beef - 250 grams
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Pineapple rings - 2 pieces (fresh or canned)
  • Teriyaki sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Burger buns - 2 pieces
  • Lettuce leaves - 2 pieces
  • Tomato slices - 2 slices
  • Mayonnaise - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
  2. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the beef patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  3. While the burgers are cooking, grill the pineapple rings for about 2-3 minutes on each side until caramelized and heated through.
  4. Once the burgers are nearly done, brush them with teriyaki sauce and let it glaze for the last minute of cooking.
  5. Toast the burger buns on the grill or in the skillet until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the burgers by spreading mayonnaise on the bottom bun, adding lettuce, the teriyaki-glazed beef patty, grilled pineapple, and tomato slices. Top with the other half of the bun.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your Hawaiian Pineapple Burger!
