- Pie crust - 1 (store-bought or homemade)
- Halal turkey bacon - 100 grams, chopped
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Eggs - 3 large
- Heavy cream - 100 ml
- Milk - 50 ml
- Cheddar cheese - 50 grams, grated
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Nutmeg - a pinch
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped Halal turkey bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg until well combined.
- Add the crispy turkey bacon, sautéed onions, and grated cheddar cheese to the egg mixture. Stir gently to combine.
- Place the pie crust in a 20 cm (8-inch) pie pan and pour the egg mixture into the crust.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the quiche is set and lightly golden on top.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
