  • Unsalted butter - 30 grams
  • All-purpose flour - 30 grams
  • Milk - 300 milliliters
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.

  4. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  5. Add the grated cheddar and mozzarella cheese to the sauce, stirring until melted and smooth.
  6. Combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce, mixing well to coat the pasta evenly.
  7. If desired, transfer the macaroni and cheese to a baking dish, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top, and broil for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy your Halal macaroni and cheese!
