Ingredients

  • Bread (whole grain or sourdough) - 4 slices
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Cheddar cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Butter (halal) - 50 grams, softened
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley (optional) - 1 tablespoon, chopped

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  2. Spread the seasoned butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  4. Place two slices of bread in the pan, buttered side down. Top each with half of the mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
  5. Cover with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up.
  6. Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt.
  7. Carefully flip the sandwiches and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the other side is golden and the cheese is fully melted.
  8. Remove from the pan, let cool for a minute, then slice in half. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
