  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 500 ml (for frying)
  • Fresh parsley - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Add the chicken thighs, ensuring they are fully submerged, and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, mix the all-purpose flour and cornstarch with a pinch of salt and pepper. This will be used for dredging the chicken.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess buttermilk to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
  5. Carefully place the coated chicken thighs in the hot oil, frying in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 7-8 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 75°C/165°F).
