  • Macaroni pasta - 150 grams
  • Halal ground beef - 200 grams
  • Chili powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion - 1 medium, diced
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, diced
  • Canned diced tomatoes - 400 grams
  • Kidney beans - 240 grams, drained and rinsed
  • Cheddar cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the macaroni pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the Halal ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for another minute to toast the spices.
  6. Add the canned diced tomatoes and kidney beans to the skillet, mixing well. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes.
  7. Combine the cooked macaroni with the chili mixture, stirring until evenly mixed.
  8. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
