  • Canned diced tomatoes - 400 grams
  • Red kidney beans - 200 grams, drained and rinsed
  • Chili powder - 2 teaspoons
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Water - 200 milliliters
  • Fresh cilantro - for garnish (optional)

Steps

  1. Heat olive oil in a medium pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and diced bell pepper, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the halal ground beef to the pot and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 5-7 minutes.

  6. Add the canned diced tomatoes, red kidney beans, and water to the pot, stirring to combine.
