Ingredients
- Spaghetti - 200 grams
- Halal turkey bacon - 100 grams, diced
- Egg yolks - 2 large
- Parmesan cheese - 50 grams, grated
- Heavy cream - 100 ml
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Fresh parsley - for garnish
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
- While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and add the diced halal turkey bacon. Cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, grated Parmesan cheese, and heavy cream until well combined. Season with salt and black pepper.
- Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti and immediately add it to the skillet with the turkey bacon and garlic.
- Pour the egg and cream mixture over the hot pasta, tossing quickly to combine and create a creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
