- chicken wings - 500 grams
- all-purpose flour - 1/2 cup
- garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- paprika - 1 teaspoon
- black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- eggs - 1 large
- milk - 1/4 cup
- vegetable oil - for frying
- butter - 4 tablespoons
- hot sauce (Frank's RedHot recommended) - 1/2 cup
- honey - 1 tablespoon
- vinegar - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk until combined.
- Dip each chicken wing first into the egg mixture and then coat it in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess flour.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the wings in batches and fry for about 8-10 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove wings and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, add the hot sauce, honey, and vinegar. Stir until well combined and heated through.
- Toss the fried wings in the buffalo sauce until they are evenly coated.
- Serve immediately with celery sticks and ranch or blue cheese dressing on the side.
