Ingredients
- Halal ground beef - 400 grams
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Burger buns - 2 pieces
- Lettuce - 2 leaves
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Cheese slices (optional) - 2 slices
- Ketchup - to taste
- Mustard - to taste
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat the olive oil in a grill pan or frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Once the oil is hot, add the burger patties to the pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- If using cheese, place a slice on each burger during the last minute of cooking to melt.
- While the burgers are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cooked patty, tomato slices, and any desired condiments like ketchup and mustard.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
