Ingredients

  • Halal beef (sliced thin) - 250 grams
  • Broccoli florets - 200 grams
  • Soy sauce (low sodium) - 3 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - 2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds (optional) - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine sliced halal beef, soy sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper. Mix well and let marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add broccoli florets to the pan and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
  5. Return the beef to the pan, and add oyster sauce and water. Stir everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds if desired.
