Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 250 grams, thinly sliced
  • Broccoli florets - 200 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - 100 ml
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, and cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  2. While the beef is marinating, prepare the broccoli by blanching it in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the blanched broccoli and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet with the broccoli, add 100 ml of water, and stir well. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Drizzle with sesame oil and season with black pepper to taste before serving.
