- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Apple cider vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Ketchup - 4 tablespoons
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon (ensure halal version)
- Mustard - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 1/2 cup
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).
- In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cumin, black pepper, and salt.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring an even coat.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together honey, apple cider vinegar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and water to create the BBQ sauce.
- Place the ribs in a baking dish and brush half of the BBQ sauce over them.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1.5 hours.
- Remove the foil, brush the remaining BBQ sauce over the ribs, and increase the oven temperature to 200°C (400°F).
- Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the ribs are caramelized and slightly crispy on the edges.
- Remove from the oven, let rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve.
