- Tortilla chips - 200 grams
- Halal chicken breast - 250 grams
- BBQ sauce - 100 ml
- Cheddar cheese - 150 grams, shredded
- Monterey Jack cheese - 100 grams, shredded
- Jalapeños - 50 grams, sliced
- Red onion - 50 grams, diced
- Fresh cilantro - 10 grams, chopped
- Sour cream - 100 grams
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Season the Halal chicken breast with salt and black pepper, then cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before shredding.
- In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken with BBQ sauce, mixing well to coat the chicken evenly.
- On a baking tray, spread out the tortilla chips in an even layer. Top the chips with the BBQ chicken mixture, then sprinkle both the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses evenly over the top.
- Add sliced jalapeños and diced red onion on top of the cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh cilantro. Serve immediately with sour cream on the side.
