Ingredients

  • Ground beef (Halal) - 300 grams
  • Breadcrumbs - 50 grams
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Milk - 50 ml
  • BBQ sauce - 60 ml (plus extra for glazing)
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Dried oregano - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, milk, BBQ sauce, salt, black pepper, paprika, and dried oregano.
  3. Mix the ingredients until well combined, but do not overmix.
  4. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.
  5. Brush the top of the meatloaf with additional BBQ sauce.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 70°C (160°F).
  7. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
  8. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
