- Ground beef (Halal) - 300 grams
- Breadcrumbs - 50 grams
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Egg - 1 large
- Milk - 50 ml
- BBQ sauce - 60 ml (plus extra for glazing)
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
- Dried oregano - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, milk, BBQ sauce, salt, black pepper, paprika, and dried oregano.
- Mix the ingredients until well combined, but do not overmix.
- Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.
- Brush the top of the meatloaf with additional BBQ sauce.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 70°C (160°F).
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
