  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Barbecue sauce - 100ml (halal certified)

Steps

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, cumin, black pepper, salt, brown sugar, and lemon juice to create a marinade.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken thighs from the marinade and discard the leftover marinade.
  5. Place the chicken thighs on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, brushing with barbecue sauce during the last few minutes of cooking.
