Ingredients

  • Elk steak - 400 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh rosemary - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Zucchini - 1 medium, sliced
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Red onion - 1 small, sliced

Steps

  1. In a medium bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Place the elk steak in the marinade, ensuring it's well coated, and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  3. While the steak is marinating, prepare the vegetables by slicing the zucchini, bell pepper, and red onion.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Remove the elk steak from the marinade and let it come to room temperature for about 5 minutes.
  6. Grill the elk steak for 5-7 minutes on each side for medium rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness.
  7. During the last 5 minutes of grilling, place the sliced vegetables on the grill and cook until tender and slightly charred.
  8. Once cooked, let the elk steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing it against the grain.
  9. Serve the sliced elk steak alongside the grilled vegetables.
