Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 400 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Fresh parsley - 30 grams, chopped
  • Fresh mint - 15 grams, chopped
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon, dried
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Pita bread - 2 pieces
  • Tzatziki sauce - 100 grams
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1/2, sliced

Steps

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb, minced garlic, chopped red onion, parsley, mint, oregano, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Divide the lamb mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 2 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the lamb patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, warm the pita bread in a separate pan or microwave until slightly toasted.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, assemble the burgers by placing each lamb patty in a pita bread, topping with crumbled feta cheese, sliced tomato, cucumber, and a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy your Greek Lamb Burgers!
