Ingredients

  • Goose breast - 300 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/4 medium, thinly sliced
  • Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
  • Dijon mustard - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. Preheat a grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, combine the goose breast, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to coat the meat evenly.
  3. Once the grill or skillet is hot, place the seasoned goose breast on it and cook for 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
  4. Remove the goose breast from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it thinly.
  5. To assemble the burgers, place two large romaine lettuce leaves on a plate as the base.
  6. Top each lettuce leaf with sliced goose meat, followed by tomato slices, red onion, and avocado.
  7. Drizzle Dijon mustard over the top, then finish with another layer of romaine lettuce to create a 'bun'.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy your Goose Burger!
