Ingredients

  • Gluten-free spaghetti - 200 grams
  • Ground beef - 250 grams
  • Gluten-free breadcrumbs - 30 grams
  • Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - ½ teaspoon
  • Black pepper - ½ teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Canned crushed tomatoes - 400 grams
  • Basil - 1 teaspoon, dried
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - 2 cups

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, gluten-free breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 5 cm in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until cooked through and browned.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the gluten-free spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  6. In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add canned crushed tomatoes, dried basil, and sugar. Stir to combine and simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Once the meatballs are done, add them to the marinara sauce and let them simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Serve the meatballs and sauce over the cooked spaghetti, garnished with additional grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
