- Gluten-free spaghetti - 200 grams
- Ground beef - 250 grams
- Gluten-free breadcrumbs - 30 grams
- Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated
- Egg - 1 large
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
- Black pepper - ½ teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Canned crushed tomatoes - 400 grams
- Basil - 1 teaspoon, dried
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 2 cups
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, gluten-free breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 5 cm in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until cooked through and browned.
- While the meatballs are baking, bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the gluten-free spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add canned crushed tomatoes, dried basil, and sugar. Stir to combine and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Once the meatballs are done, add them to the marinara sauce and let them simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve the meatballs and sauce over the cooked spaghetti, garnished with additional grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
