Ingredients

  • Gluten-free lasagna noodles - 6 sheets
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Ground beef - 200 grams
  • Onion, diced - 1 small
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Marinara sauce - 400 grams
  • Ricotta cheese - 250 grams
  • Mozzarella cheese, shredded - 150 grams
  • Parmesan cheese, grated - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Italian seasoning - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and ground beef, cooking until the beef is browned. Season with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Stir in the marinara sauce and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, egg, and a pinch of salt and pepper until well combined.
  5. Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Place 2-3 lasagna noodles over the sauce, then spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles. Top with a layer of mozzarella cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers: meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese. Finish with a final layer of meat sauce and top with remaining mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
  7. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let the lasagna cool for about 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
