  • Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried basil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Red wine - 100 milliliters (optional)
  • Gluten-free pasta - 200 grams
  • Fresh parsley - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion, carrot, and celery, and sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Increase the heat to medium-high, then add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. If using, pour in the red wine and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until reduced slightly.
  6. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  7. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let the sauce simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. While the sauce simmers, cook the gluten-free pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  9. Drain the pasta and serve topped with the Bolognese sauce, garnished with fresh parsley.
