Ingredients

  • Spaghetti - 200 grams
  • Unsalted butter - 60 grams
  • Garlic (minced) - 4 cloves
  • Fresh parsley (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Parmesan cheese (grated) - 30 grams

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. While the pasta is cooking, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 2-3 minutes, until fragrant and lightly golden, being careful not to burn it.
  5. Once the pasta is done, reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water and drain the rest.
  6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic butter, tossing to coat the pasta thoroughly.
  7. If the pasta seems dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  8. Season with salt and black pepper, then stir in the chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese.
  9. Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley and cheese if desired.
