- Spaghetti - 150 grams
- Unsalted butter - 50 grams
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated (optional)
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
- While the pasta is cooking, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve 1/4 cup of the pasta water and then drain the remaining water.
- Add the drained spaghetti directly to the skillet with the garlic butter. Toss to coat the noodles evenly.
- If the noodles seem dry, add a little bit of the reserved pasta water to achieve the desired consistency.
- Stir in the chopped parsley and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
