Ingredients

  • cooked white rice - 1 cup
  • shredded mozzarella cheese - 1/2 cup
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 1/4 cup
  • egg - 1 large
  • all-purpose flour - 1/4 cup
  • bread crumbs - 1/2 cup
  • chopped parsley - 2 tablespoons
  • garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • vegetable oil - for frying

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cooked white rice, shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Crack the egg into the mixture and stir until all ingredients are well combined.
  3. Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
  4. Roll each rice ball in flour, then dip into the beaten egg, and finally coat with bread crumbs.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat until hot.
  6. Carefully add the rice balls to the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  7. Remove the fried rice balls and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
  8. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
