Steps
- Rinse the calamari rings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk until well combined.
- Dip each calamari ring into the egg mixture, then coat it thoroughly with the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
- In a deep skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).
- Fry the coated calamari rings in batches for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown, turning occasionally for even cooking.
