Ingredients

  • Corn tostadas - 4 pieces
  • White fish fillets (such as cod or tilapia) - 200 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - ½ teaspoon
  • Black pepper - ¼ teaspoon
  • Red cabbage, shredded - 1 cup
  • Cherry tomatoes, halved - ½ cup
  • Cilantro, chopped - ¼ cup
  • Avocado, diced - 1 small
  • Sour cream (or dairy-free alternative) - 2 tablespoons
  • Hot sauce (optional) - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
  2. Season the fish fillets with garlic powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Place the seasoned fish in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily.
  4. Remove the fish from the skillet and squeeze lime juice over it. Flake the fish into bite-sized pieces.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the shredded red cabbage, halved cherry tomatoes, and chopped cilantro. Set aside.
  6. To assemble the tostadas, place 2 corn tostadas on each plate.
  7. Top each tostada with a portion of the flaked fish, followed by the cabbage and tomato mixture.
  8. Add diced avocado on top and drizzle with sour cream. Add hot sauce if desired.
