Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (e.g., tilapia or cod) - 200 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Corn tortillas - 4 pieces
  • Cabbage (shredded) - 1 cup
  • Carrot (shredded) - 1/2 cup
  • Fresh cilantro (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Greek yogurt (or sour cream) - 3 tablespoons
  • Honey - 1 teaspoon
  • Additional lime wedges - for serving

Steps

  1. Preheat the grill or a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. Brush the fish fillets with the spice mixture on both sides.
  4. Cook the fish on the grill or skillet for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  5. While the fish is cooking, prepare the slaw by combining shredded cabbage, shredded carrot, cilantro, Greek yogurt, honey, and a squeeze of lime juice in a bowl. Toss to mix well.
  6. Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds on each side or until pliable.
  7. Once the fish is done, remove it from the heat and break it into chunks.
  8. Assemble the tacos by placing the fish on the warmed tortillas, topping with the slaw, and adding additional lime juice if desired.
  9. Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.
