Ingredients

  • Shrimp - 300 grams, peeled and deveined
  • Almond flour - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for wrapping)
  • Sriracha sauce - 2 tablespoons (for serving)
  • Avocado - 1 medium, sliced (for serving)

Steps

  1. In a food processor, add the peeled and deveined shrimp, and pulse until coarsely minced.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the minced shrimp, almond flour, egg, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and chopped green onions. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into 2 patties of equal size.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of oil. Once hot, add the shrimp patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. While the patties are cooking, prepare the serving plates with lettuce leaves and sliced avocado.
  6. Once the patties are done, place each on a lettuce leaf, top with sriracha sauce, and add avocado slices.
