Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 400 grams
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cheddar cheese - 60 grams, shredded
  • Jalapeños - 40 grams, sliced
  • Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Sugar-free BBQ sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well until evenly combined.
  2. Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  4. During the last minute of cooking, add shredded cheddar cheese on top of each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
  5. Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing each cheesy patty on top of a large lettuce leaf. Top with sliced jalapeños and avocado, and drizzle with sugar-free BBQ sauce.
