Ingredients

  • Gluten-free pizza crust - 1 pre-made (about 250g)
  • Fennel seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground pork - 200g
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Mozzarella cheese - 150g, shredded
  • Fresh basil - a handful, chopped
  • Tomato sauce - 100g
  • Parmesan cheese - 30g, grated

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. In a bowl, combine the ground pork, minced garlic, fennel seeds, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well to create the sausage mixture.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and cook the sausage mixture for about 5-7 minutes until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon as it cooks.
  4. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the gluten-free pizza crust.
  5. Evenly distribute the cooked fennel sausage over the sauce, followed by the shredded mozzarella cheese.
  6. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top, and add the chopped fresh basil.
  7. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
