Ingredients

  • Dandelion greens - 200 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)

Steps

  1. Wash the dandelion greens thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt and grit. Drain and roughly chop them into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Add the chopped dandelion greens to the skillet, stirring well to coat them with the garlic oil. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the greens are wilted and tender.
  4. Season the sautéed greens with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir in the lemon juice and cook for an additional minute.
  5. Remove from heat and serve warm as a side dish.
