Ingredients

  • Eggs - 4 large
  • Heavy cream - 120 ml
  • Cheddar cheese, shredded - 100 g
  • Spinach, fresh - 50 g
  • Cooked bacon, chopped - 50 g
  • Onion, finely chopped - 1/4 medium
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • Olive oil - 1 tsp

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the fresh spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  5. Stir in the sautéed spinach, cooked bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese into the egg mixture.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased 9-inch (23 cm) pie dish or baking dish.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the quiche is set and lightly golden on top.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
