Ingredients
- Firm tofu - 200 grams
- Broccoli florets - 100 grams
- Bell pepper (red or yellow) - 1 medium, sliced
- Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
- Snap peas - 100 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)
- Green onions - 2, chopped (for garnish)
Steps
- Press the tofu for about 10 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1-inch cubes.
- Toss the tofu cubes in cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the tofu and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove the tofu and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add broccoli, bell pepper, carrot, and snap peas. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the vegetables, stir-frying for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Return the crispy tofu to the skillet and pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil. Toss everything together for another 2-3 minutes to combine and heat through.
- Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
