- Firm tofu - 300 grams
- Cornstarch - 3 tablespoons
- Vegetable oil - 3 tablespoons
- Bell pepper (sliced) - 1 medium
- Broccoli florets - 150 grams
- Carrot (sliced) - 1 medium
- Soy sauce - 4 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
- Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
- Green onions (sliced) - 2 stalks
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
- In a bowl, toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch until well coated.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large non-stick skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the tofu cubes in a single layer and fry until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Stir-fry the bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot for about 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, stir-frying for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Return the crispy tofu to the skillet, then pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil. Toss everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat, garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, and serve hot.
