Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 300 grams
  • Cornstarch - 3 tablespoons
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Press the firm tofu for at least 15 minutes to remove excess water. Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a bowl, combine cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Gently toss the tofu cubes in the cornstarch mixture until evenly coated.
  4. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the coated tofu cubes in a single layer.
  5. Fry the tofu for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden and crispy, turning carefully to avoid breaking the cubes.
  6. Once cooked, remove from heat and drizzle with soy sauce, tossing gently to coat.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley.
