Ingredients
- 2 medium potatoes - 400 grams
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour - 30 grams
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese - 25 grams
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions - 15 grams
- 1 clove garlic, minced - 3 grams
- 1/2 teaspoon salt - 3 grams
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper - 1 gram
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika - 1 gram
- 1 egg - 50 grams
- 2 tablespoons olive oil - 30 milliliters
Steps
- Peel and dice the potatoes into small cubes, then boil them in salted water for about 10-15 minutes until fork-tender. Drain and let cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, mash the boiled potatoes with a fork or potato masher until smooth.
- Add the flour, Parmesan cheese, green onions, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, paprika, and egg to the mashed potatoes. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the potato patties, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the cakes from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb any excess oil before serving.
