- Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Water - 250 milliliters
Steps
- Rinse the red lentils under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak them in 250 milliliters of water for about 30 minutes.
- Drain the lentils and transfer them to a blender or food processor. Add olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
- Blend the mixture until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed. If the mixture is too thick, add a little more water until it reaches a spreadable consistency.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spread the lentil mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are crispy and the center is firm.
