Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (e.g., cod or tilapia) - 250 grams
  • Almond flour - 1/2 cup
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Avocado - 1 medium
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Radishes - 4, thinly sliced
  • Red onion - 1/4 small, thinly sliced

Steps

  1. In a shallow bowl, whisk the egg. In another bowl, combine the almond flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Dip each fish fillet into the egg, then coat with the almond flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  3. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the coated fish and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. While the fish is cooking, prepare the avocado crema by blending the avocado, lime juice, and half of the cilantro in a small bowl until smooth. Season with salt to taste.
  5. Once the fish is done, assemble the tacos by placing a piece of fish onto a lettuce leaf. Top with avocado crema, radish slices, red onion, and the remaining cilantro.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy your crispy fish tacos!
