  • Chicken breast - 300 grams
  • Panko breadcrumbs - 100 grams
  • All-purpose flour - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Pickles - 4 slices

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In another bowl, place the all-purpose flour. In a third bowl, beat the egg.
  4. Slice the chicken breast horizontally to create two fillets. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  5. Coat each chicken fillet in flour, shaking off the excess, then dip into the beaten egg, and finally coat with the panko breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  6. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken fillets for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the chicken to a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
  8. Meanwhile, toast the burger buns in a toaster or on a skillet until golden.
  9. To assemble, spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Add lettuce, the crispy chicken fillet, sliced tomato, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
