Ingredients

  • Cauliflower - 1 medium head (about 500g)
  • All-purpose flour - 1/2 cup (60g)
  • Cornstarch - 1/4 cup (30g)
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Water - 3/4 cup (180ml)
  • Buffalo sauce - 1/2 cup (120ml)
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (15ml)
  • Fresh parsley - for garnish (optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Gradually add water to the dry ingredients, whisking until a smooth batter forms.
  5. Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, allowing excess to drip off, then place them on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  6. Bake the cauliflower wings in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  7. While the cauliflower is baking, mix the buffalo sauce and olive oil in a bowl.
  8. Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and toss them in the buffalo sauce mixture until well coated.
  9. Return the coated cauliflower wings to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  10. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm.
